- The playoffs for the Westerns is taking place this weekend at The Mix NightClub on McPhillips.

- If you aren’t playing in the Westerns and you are looking for a little more adventure there is the Fargo Midwinter Shootout being held at the fabulous Fargo Billiards and Gastropub south of the border in…where else…Fargo ND. $2500 added to the 8 Ball tourney, it could be worth the trip! - For the slightly less adventurous yet pool hungry player, there is the popular WPC Super Series which is open to Vegas and Under players. This is a round robin tournament that finishes off with a single knockout final. The tournament Starts at 1:30 pm sharp. If you are running late…call! 269-8866

- Ritchie Monkman usually runs a tournament Saturday at 3:30 pm at Players Billiards on McPhillips. I can’t say for sure that it is happening this weekend, so you may want to call ahead first. 296-5976

- Check out Riverside Billiards on St Mary’s Rd. It is usually a pretty good crowd Sunday afternoons. Tournament starts by 2pm I believe. You might want to go a bit earlier in case I am wrong. Feel free to add a comment below if you know for sure.

- Monday will be a huge treat for everyone. In case you hadn’t heard yet, Johnny Archer will be in town and will be conducting a “Pool School” with some lucky players. In addition to that, Johnny Archer will be doing an exhibition at Shooter’s Billiard Lounge Monday evening at 7:30. Everybody is welcome, so head on down and meet the “Scorpion”.
